she needed a man like a fish needs a bicycle

something I heard someone say the other day that stuck in my head - the thought of a fish on a bike tickled my fuuny bone

In 1957 and again in 1964, my grandfather went jaunting about the world with my grandmother and took thousands of photos. I was visiting my mother one day and she said - hey, I found these slides Papa took and I was going to take them to the tip, do you want them? Gasping in horror at the thought of such a sad end for them I said - OF COURSE I WANT THEM!! So I wrestled them from her, scanned them into the computer and decided they must be shared because they are a slice, or a shot of history. So now I'm sorting through them and making them into tiles that travel around the world and live in interesting places and make people happy.
